Description

This is The Elton John Band featuring John Lennon and the Muscle Shoals Horns on DJM Records 0064.230 from West Germany.  I purchased this new back in the eighties and recorded it to cassette.  The only other time I played it was today.  This is a great live concert from Thanksgiving Day, November 28, 1974 recorded at Madison Square Garden in New York.  John Lennon appears courtesy of a bet he lost with Elton when Elton bet him that "Whatever Gets You Through the Night" would make it to Number 1.  They perform that song together along with "Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds" and "I Saw Her Standing There".  It was a historical night, and I am quite sure it was the last time John performed live.  The LP plays NM.  The cover has a bend in the upper left corner but you have to look for it to see it.  I bought it that way brand new.  It is M-.
