Welcome to 'Its the vinyl countdown' music auctions. Here you will find some of the most incredible rare records and music memorabilia for your collection. We pride ourselves on auctioning only the highest grade records and items, you will not see anything listed here below EX+ condition, unles the item is extremely rare. You will not see worn covers, warped records or scratched records. We simply do not bother with them.
We list in many cases, 'Archived' & 'mint' condition items, we are able to source from private collections all over the UK. So we hope you can be put at ease that what you are bidding on is of the highest quality.
We play through most of the records, unless the item is clearly mint, or sealed..in which case we don't play them, thus maintaining their 'unplayed' status! Obviously with some of these rare items there will be the odd 'anomoly' along the way , the odd little static pop or lead in 'sizzle' for a split second.. nothing is perfect we find! all systems differ, but we aim to describe these as accurately as possible for you.... THE VINYLS BOTH MINT UNPLAYED
As you can see, this vinyl is the highly prized A1 pressing, AND it is in superb UNPLAYED condition, PRESERVED SINCE 1989 THESE VINYLS WERE NEVER PLAYED
Both vinyls have retained their amazing glossy sheen and finish. There is no dulling anywhere and overall it is in incredible condition for an LP set of this age. The edges are silky smooth, typical of these vintage pressings.
THERE ARE NO MARKS OR HAIRLINES ANYWHERE
SURPLUS WAX AROUND THE SPINDLE HOLES, AND NO SPINDLE SKATE LINES
OVERALL A STONE MINT PAIR OF VERY RARE VINYLS IN THIS COLLECTABLE SET
THE SLEEVE EX ORIGINAL STICKERED SLEEVE GATEFOLD
Rare to see this vinyl edition at all, this gatefold sleeve has signs of storage discolour spots on the matt finish sleeve..nothing too bad and certainly not too damaged at all.
The sticker is in place and the edges are all super clean with only some very light rub spots in a few places.
The open edge remains in immaculate sharp condition with no hint of handling
The open out of the gatefold shows no dulling, white rub or wear at all. ..just a few more of these mottled spots of storage.
The spine edge is totally unmarked and all legends are perfect-there are A FEW spots of light rub and some tiny squash spots - A couple of light 'pinch' marks on the spine edges
So, tho the 'storage' of this LP has slightly hampered the sleeve, the vinyls are incredible and this is a wonderful rare set for any collection.
A SUPREME SET, AND A VERY RARE ONE TO FIND IN THIS DAY AND AGE IN THIS CONDITION
THE INNER SLEEVES MINT-
paper inners...with stamped pat numbers on botom corner.
