MEGARARE original UNITED ARTISTS Records very first Stereo press released in Chile in 1978 by Industria De Radio Y Televisión S.A. (IRT Records), licensed from Jet Records, catalog number UP-36342 with cream/black labels, with song titles in Spanish but translated to English, with all credits in Spanish and no song timing. Matrix numbers are UP-36342-A MSM-CD in Side 1 and UP-36342-B MSM-CD in Side 2. Yes, ANOTHER GREAT FIND FROM CHILE!!! A rare single pressed in Chile in great condition!!! It’s interesting to notice that in both sides it’s written in the deadwax the date of pressing “7 3 78” (March 3rd of 1978).

If you are a fan and/or collector of Electric Light Orchestra you already know that the single “Mr. Blue Sky” released in Chile with this UNIQUE PICTURE SLEEVE is the rarest press of this single worldwide. The Picture Sleeve is very fragile, only a bag of paper, keeps same artwork but what it makes this so rare is that it comes from a so far country of course and that name of the band and song title are written in front cover with white letters, not yellow as usual. In fact all text is white in front and back cover and it's in English. But in labels the song titles and all credits are in Spanish (song titles translated to English). You know this is so rare that not many copies have been seen here in eBay and maybe this is the best copy you could find. It has some wear but it doesn’t have rips, no seam splits (a miracle!!!), no writings. This is a MUST for all collectors!!!

This fragile paper Picture Sleeve is in VG+ or EX- condition, clean and clear, with no writings, no rips, no marks, no seam splits, only some creases and wear and the ring mark you can see in the pictures, a great condition after almost 34 years!!! Record is in EX+ or even NM- condition, it’s glossy and clean without scratches, hairlines and marks, only some very faint scuffs almost impossible to see (more evident in Side 1, close to the UA logo) which don’t affect sound. Labels are in EX+ or NM- condition, both sides, clean and clear with no major wear, but someone wrote a initials close to the spindle hole in Side 2 with blue pencil (the little black “point” you see in the spindle hole is a factory fault). Sound is in great EX- or EX condition in Side 1, with very soft background noise (surface noise is normal in records from Chile), loud and clear, but some light crackles at the beginning and at the end of the song, which don’t distract of the great sound at all; and in EX or EX+ condition the Side 2, with almost no background noise, and less crackles that in Side 1. Anyway a great sound. Maybe not the perfect sound quality for some Minty minds, but if you are an ELO collector or you like to get the rarest items possible to find, you already know this single released in Chile is one of the rarest issues worldwide, this is a TOP RARITY single, a MUST to have, no matter the condition. And the condition of this record, look and sound quality is GREAT!!! Overall a stunning record you don’t see so often, with a nice look, a Picture Sleeve in SUPERB condition and an amazing sound quality considering it’s almost 34 years old!!! And, yes Sirs, WHAT A FIND!!!

We don’t use the generic “VG” most of South American sellers use to hide poor quality conditions or “NM” or “Mint” for records which aren’t even clean and sound less than a normal “VG” in professional standards. We use the Record Collector’s Grading System with a little modification: we don’t use MINT grade but for Sealed records and we can use a + or – to show a most professional accurate description.

MINT (M): I only use this grade for Sealed records.

NEAR MINT (NM): The record itself is in like new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality (only some very very very light hairlines caused for the record rubbing the sleeve). The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in like perfect condition.

EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality, maybe some surface marks which doesn’t affect play. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.

GBP15 for weight until 1kg (usually 1 or 2 records 12" depending of thickness of the vinyl)

GBP25 for weight 1-2kg (usually 3-5 records 12")

USD12 for one 7” record

All records will be packed outside of the sleeve to avoid damages in the cover and all records will be sent with tracking number via Small Packet or Parcel Post services.

We don’t have anything to hide and we know the buyers expect to receive feedback after to pay for the items they win. Most of sellers say to give feedback when buyers leave feedback first.
