Description
For auction is ELMO HOPE's Sextet and Trio doing "Homecoming!" on Riverside RLP 381 MONO, 1961. With Jimmy and Percy Heath, Philly Joe Jones, Blue Mitchell and Frank Foster.
SOUND: NM-
It has been machine-cleaned and I listened to both sides completely. The playback is outstanding! Sound is clean and brilliant!
VINYL: VG+
Visually, the vinyl is nice. There is one faint scratch across A4, "Homecoming." There are a few light marks or scuffs here and there on the vinyl. Nothing seems to affect the playback.
COVER: VG+ or better
The cover is terrific. The edges are solid all around but for the last inch top right, starting to split. The edges have spots of minor wear here and there, but overall very nice. Corners have minor wear, but look fairly sharp except for that upper right, a bit frayed. The front and back are exceptionally clean and nice, showing little-to-no wear. There is a "promo" stamp on the back.

Every record I auction has been cleaned on a Nitty Gritty vacuum/cleaner. I played every record to determine if there are static, tics, pops, hisses, what have you. I endeavor to thoroughly report any extraneous audio "noise" or problems of any significance. Other than that, I will report on the general condition of each record, both vinyl and jacket, according to Goldmine standards, to the best of my ability.
Every record is put into a new, clean sleeve insert. In the case of an interesting original sleeve insert, I'll include that in the sale.
If you're into this stuff, you might want to save me to your seller's list and check back periodically. I'll be putting a lot of vintage jazz records up for auction.
