ELLA FITZGERALD Sings DUKE ELLINGTON 4-LP Verve Box Set

Original 1950s Ella Fitzgerald with Duke Ellington four-LP box set entitled, "Ella Fitzgerald Sings the Duke Ellington Song Book."  This is on the Verve label MGV-4010-4 (black and silver deep groove labels; mono pressing).  This set combines the original, individual volumes 1 and 2 double-LP releases into two beautiful gatefold covers housed inside the box.  The vinyls are nearly all in beautiful M- or near mint condition and all look to be unplayed!  However,  the side 3 vinyl of volume 2 does have one light surface/pressing line that runs across about half of the side.  I played it and there is a slight, intermittent 'tick' audible through part of the side.  It is still a very nice listen overall but, unfortunately, it is not perfect.  So, I will grade that side VG; all other sides look superb!  Both of the gatefold covers are near mint with no wear or damage whatsoever.  The outer box is VG+ and displays great.  There is a little bit of edge wear, a couple splits to a couple of the corners of the top lid, and a small scuff mark over Ella's face on the front side.  Despite these flaws, the box is still quite solid and intact overall.  Also included is a lavish, 16-page liner note/photo insert booklet.  Due to its size and weight, international shipping for this set is by Priority Mail only.

I personally write all of my own descriptions, take all of my own photos, and package all items for mailing myself.  I do not use text, photos or information from “other” sources and would certainly never do so without referencing them. Items pictured in any of my listings are always the actual items that buyers will receive from me.

First Class Mail is the cheapest method of international shipping that I offer for LP records; but please be aware there is NO WAY to track these packages once they leave my hands. If you want tracking information, you need to upgrade to Regular Priority Mail or Registered Mail.  I do sometimes require more expensive purchases be sent by Registered Mail to certain locations. The registered fee is listed as “Other” under shipping prices ($26.00 for up to four LP records in a single mailer). Please email me before bidding if you are unsure.

I am always happy to offer combined shipping for ALL BUYERS for up to one week from the closing date of the initial purchase. This is a courtesy I offer to all buyers, regardless of location.  Please do not expect me to hold items for 2 or 3 weeks (or even more) while additional bids are placed. Please try to be considerate of this request when bidding on multiple items on different dates. Combined shipping rates are as follows:

Combined shipping for U.S. BUYERS:  I can ship up to four single LP records for a flat $4.00 Media Mail fee (allow 10 to 14 business days for delivery). Above four records, a new mailer will need to be started at the base shipping price.  Double LPs and other types of multiple-record sets, box sets, etc. do not count as single LPs. If you need faster shipping, please upgrade to Priority Mail.

Combined shipping for CANADIAN BUYERS:  First LP is $7.00 (First Class Mail International).  Add $1.00 per additional LP up to four. Above four records, a new mailer will need to be started at the base shipping price.  Double LPs and other types of multiple-record sets, box sets, etc. do not count as single LPs. 

Combined shipping for all other INTERNATIONAL BUYERS:  First LP is $14.00 (First Class Mail International).  Two LPs shipped together is $16.00.  Three LPs shipped together is $20.00.  Four LPs shipped together is $24.00. Above four records, a new mailer will need to be started at the base shipping price.  Double LPs and other types of multiple-record sets, box sets, etc. do not count as single LPs.

All of my individual LPs are shipped in professionally-designed, cardboard mailers with extra cardboard padding.

Buyer satisfaction and returns:  I offer what I believe is a very reasonable return policy for all individual items (and smaller lots) that I sell.  The item must be returned to me exactly as it was packaged and mailed to the buyer.  I will refund the original sale price and shipping fee only; return shipping is the buyer’s responsibility.  I do not give ‘partial’ refunds either (i.e. the buyer keeps the item for a lesser price).  This policy applies to U.S. and non-U.S. buyers alike and regardless of the final sale price of the item.  That being said, please ask any and all questions you may have before bidding.  Please do not bid on items that are graded below near mint or even M- and expect them to be nearly or totally perfect.  Obviously, items graded below the ‘mint ranges’ of condition will have either some very slight or more noteworthy imperfections, which I will do my best to disclose in the above listing.  Asking questions beforehand is the key to a successful transaction, especially for buyers who are overly fussy about condition.
