Description

EDISON 50509.  SIDE 1 - "Let Us Not Forget" -  A message to the American People was recorded after the end of World War I by Thomas Alva Edison. According to the announcement on this recording, it was first time that Edison permitted his voice to be recorded for the public. In his message he praises the allied forces. He suggests that all Americans should remember the National Airs (melodies) of it's war-time allies.                              SIDE 2 - "National Airs of the Allies"  presents those melodies: La Marseillaise (France), God Save the King (Great Britain), Royal Italian March (Italy), La Brabanconne (Belgium), and The Star-Spangled Banner (United States of America).
