Description

CONDITION: V+ clean copy, no edge chips, with a CLASSICAL rarity from 1919, SERGEI RACHMANINOFF -- a rarity as it is a piano solo by the composer himself with the somber and beautiful "Prelude In C Sharp Minor OP 3" and on the opposite side with more uptempo though still serious "Polka de W. R." also as by the composer Rachmaninoff on EDSION 82187 an original 10" 80 rpm record -- please see photos for overall condition -- Upon arriving in America in 1918 / 19 after leaving Russia due to the political instability of the Russian Revolution, Rachmaninoff's poor financial situation prompted him in 1919 to record piano pieces for Edison Records, in a limited contract for ten released sides prior to signing with VICTOR in 1920.

This record will be securely packed in a new 12x12x4 box sandwiched between cardboard stiffeners and floating in a paper fill.

Combined shipping offered.
