Description
This very rare Caedmon LP (TC 1450) features horror legend Vincent Price reading three tales by Edgar Allan Poe. It was issued in the U.S. in 1975. (Please note that this is an original LP and not a re-issue.)
The record itself is in near pristine condition and plays without any problems. The surface on both sides are clean and shiny, with no surface marks. It is on heavy grade vinyl and plays at 33 rpm.
There are some minor nicks to the sleeve. There are also two cuts to the top edge - one measuring just under an inch located at the centre (from the LP having been stored in the wrong position), and another measuring just over an inch on the outside edge.
Side One features Price reading 'The Imp Of The Perverse' (14.06) and 'Morella' (14.45), while the second side features 'Berenice' (23.50).
The liner notes on the back of the cover are by Alexander G Rose, the then-President of the Edgar Allan Poe Society.
This item is very rare (particularly outside the U.S.) and would be a valued addition to the collection of any devotee of the work either Poe or Price.
The LP will be packed very securely before shipping and sent by tracked delivery. If you live outside the U.K., please contact me for postage rates to your location.
