THE VINYL DOES DISPLAY A COUPLE OF LIGHT SURFACE MARKS - NO DEEP SCRATCHES - IT HAS BEEN PLAYED A FEW TIMES AS THERE IS SOME SPINDLE WEAR - BUT I CANNOT GIVE A GRADE TO THE PLAYING QUALITY AS I DO NOT HAVE THE FACILITY OF PLAYING A 78 - I WOULD ALSO SUGGEST THAT IT COULD DO WITH A GOOD CLEAN BUT AS I AM NO EXPERT IN THE 78 AREA I WOULD NOT LIKE TO ATTEMPT THIS - BUT AS IT IS NOW I WOULD GRADE AT VERY GOOD - BUT IF CLEANED UP I EXPECT IT TO BE MUCH BETTER

fair = the record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

good = the record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration.

very good = the record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items.

excellent = the record shows signs of been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have wear and tear.

Please note that, whilst it it comparatively rare for items to be lost or damaged in the post (the quality of packaging I use is substantial), my part of the transaction contract is legally completed as soon as the item is in the hands of the post office. I will not, therefore, accept responsibility for any loss or damage by the Postal Services. Whilst I am happy to provide advice if required, all claims remain the responsibility of the buyer. It should be noted that, due to the volume of items despatched weekly,  it is impractical for me to obtain proof of posting certificates; trackable proof of posting can only be provided if one of the above insurance options is requested by and paid for at the time of remittance by the buyer
