Description
1957 OZ 1ST PRESSING ON THE (GOLD ON BLACK) LONDON LABEL (45-HL-1230). PUSH-OUT CENTRE.
DRIVE IN SHOW/ AM I BLUE.
AND ABSOLUTE GEM FROM THE GREAT EDDIE COCHRAN. VERY HARD TO FIND ORIGINAL AUSSIE PRESSINGS IN ANY CONDITION! THIS ONE'S FAR FROM PRISTINE, BUT IT STILL PLAYS LOUD STRONG!! RARE AND ESSENTIAL!
VINYL: Looks GOOD (heavily used, obviously. lots of general wear, needle drag & fine hairlines. no nasty/deep scratches) Plays/Sounds GOOD to GOOD + (plays loud & strong but with surface crackle (mostly light, but still audible -throughout doesn't overwhelm the performance). no ticking. tracks perfectly)
LABELS: GOOD (general wear & age. moderate spindles)
All non-picture sleeve 7" singles come with their original die-cut company paper sleeve if available (if original paper sleeve isn't available, then an alternative/plain sleeve is substituted).
In my listings the photographs displayed are of the actual record for sale (no stock photos used), and therefore form an important part of the description. Any specks of dust, or pinprick reflections from the camera flash that may be present in these pictures are down to me.

GRADING GUIDELINES:
With the obvious exception of mint items (which, of course, will be graded visually), used 7" singles are graded both visually and for play/sound, as per the guidelines published by UK Record Collector. My gradings and comments here refer only to the 'A' side of the record, unless stated otherwise. Play gradings reflect how the record plays and sounds on my equipment, under normal room listening conditions. Visual gradings reflect how the vinyl looks to the naked eye under strong, direct lighting. The records are cleaned to remove any dust/finger marks, etc., prior to grading. Picture sleeves (and any inclusions/extras) are graded, but paper company and plain sleeves are not.
MINT: Only used for new/sealed 7" singles, or where I know for certain that the record has never been played because I've owned it since new. Visually perfect in every way. Any picture sleeve will also be perfect.
NEAR MINT: Either a 7" single that is visually perfect but has been played, or one that only has the faintest/tiniest scuff/mark that has no effect of sound/playability - will play loud and clear. A superb record. Any picture sleeve will be very close to mint, but with a few minor blemishes.
EXCELLENT: A 7" single that shows some signs of having been played (light paper/needle scuffs, or maybe the odd light hairline), and should display very little lessening in sound quality. More often than not there won't be any noticeable surface noise, but where there is, it should be light and occasional only (maybe run in/run out, quiet passages, etc). A quality used record. Any picture sleeve might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: A 7" single that has obviously been played many times but which displays no major deterioration in sound quality despite obvious scuffs/marks/hairlines/mild scratches. In other words - normal and predictable wear for a well used, vintage single. Still great to listen to even though it will probably have have some light-to-moderate surface noise. A perfectly acceptable used record. Any picture sleeve will probably display normal wear & tear, without any major defects.
GOOD: A 7" single that has been heavily used, displaying numerous heavier needle scuffs, hairlines, mild scratches, and groove wear. Will probably have noticeable surface noise - but will still play through without skips or sticks. Acceptable as a collection-filler until you find a better copy. Any picture sleeve will suffer from a possible range of folding, scuffing, small stains, seam splits, discolouration, etc..
FAIR: A 7" single that is still playable but has not been looked after and plays with lots of obvious/intrusive surface noise, ticking & 'pops'. May even skip or stick. A record valued only for its possible rarity. Any picture sleeve will be torn, stained and/or defaced in some obvious manner.
(+) or, (-) indicates any variation to these gradings (a little better/a little worse, etc).

POST & PACKING - GENERAL INFORMATION:
To achieve maximum protection, 7" singles are sealed in a plastic outer and packed between layers of cardboard/corflute, inside an Australia Post Tough Bag, and posted as a Large Letter. Occasionally, I will also use a purpose-designed mailing carton, which will also post as a Large Letter. I buy and use only quality packing materials (recycled and/or recyclable, wherever possible), and I take great care to ensure that your record reaches you in the same condition that it left me. I do not apply a 'handling fee', or look to create extra profit from artificially-inflated p&p charges - it's the cost of the stamp + part of the cost of packing materials, and that's it.
I post most business days, Monday to Friday. This means that records are usually despatched within 1 business day of payment being received (weekends/public holidays excepted - e.g., if you purchase on a Friday, it's likely that your record will be posted the following Monday). I doubt that any ebay seller offers a consistently quicker turnaround. However, after I hand over your record to Australia Post, I have no control over how long they take to deliver it. Australia Post are usually excellent, but delays can happen occasionally, and some overseas postal services can be a real problem. Express Post is available (at extra cost) within Australia for anyone who requires delivery faster than Australia Post's standard service. Likewise, similar fast options are available to most overseas destinations, but these can be very expensive - please ask for details if you're interested.
Australia Post does not offer in-transit tracking of large & small letters sent by its standard/airmail services. For destinations within Australia, in-transit tracking for large & small letters is only available if sent by Registered Post (+AU$3.50). For international destinations there are a number of options that offer in-transit tracking, depending on package size/weight and your location - Please contact me for details/costs if you're interested.
I AM ALWAYS HAPPY TO COMBINE MULTIPLE PURCHASES OVER A 7 DAYS PERIOD - AND THERE ARE USUALLY SIGNIFICANT SAVINGS TO BE MADE. For example, in most cases three singles travel together for the same cost as one.
All records will be posted - sorry, but pick ups or meetings are not offered under any circumstances.

WITHIN AUSTRALIA standard post and packing for 1, 2, or 3 x 7" singles traveling together (Large Letter up to 250g) is: AU$3.00

Larger quantities of 7" vinyl records (or possible combinations of ep's and/or heavier gauge vinyl singles) shipped together will cost more depending on the final thickness/weight of the package, and your specific location - please ask for a firm cost (listing the actual records you wish to purchase) before bidding/buying.

**International buyers should note: Import duties, taxes & charges which may be imposed by your country's customs office are not included in the item price or shipping costs shown here. These charges (should they apply) are the buyer's responsibility. Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these charges may be, prior to bidding/buying. Sorry, but I will not deliberately under-value the sale price of an item, or mark a purchase as a 'gift' on the Australian Customs Declaration attached to the package.
PAYMENT OPTIONS:
Australian buyers - Direct Bank Deposit, or PayPal.
International buyers - PayPal only.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
TERMS & CONDITIONS - PLEASE READ:
PAYMENT TERMS FOR BUY IT NOW items are:
For buyers located in Australia, payment is required at time of purchase, unless you are planning to purchase/bidding on more than one item of mine. If you've purchased a number of my singles, please wait for my invoice with your correct P&P costs.
For International buyers, payment is required on receipt of my invoice containing your correct P&P costs.
Contact is essential if for any reason you can't pay straight away, or have any difficulty completing the transaction. I'm easy to get along with, but I'm not a mind-reader, so please send me a message through the ebay message system - it's quick and easy, avoids any misunderstandings, and saves me having to chase you (which is irritating for us both!).
If you are paying by Direct Bank Deposit, please include your user ID so that your payment can be identified quickly when it reaches my account (which can take between 2 to 4 business days, depending on the banks involved). Also note that while most PayPal payments are instantaneous, PayPal e-cheque payments usually take around a week to be cleared by PayPal. Always complete ebay Checkout when paying.
Non-payers and time-wasters will be reported to eBay, and will receive a non-payer strike against their name. IF YOU DON'T INTEND TO PAY*, THEN DON'T BID/BUY.
*Note: anyone who makes a genuine mistake when bidding should contact me immediately, and I'll sort it out for you (including canceling your bid/purchase, if that's what you want).
OTHER.
Item(s) posted only after payment has been received/cleared. I pack professionally and I am not responsible for any loss or damage that may occur in transit.
Refunds are offered only if the record doesn't match its description, on its safe return in original condition within 30 days, and only after discussing the problem with me first, and receiving my agreement for the return. Buyer pays return postage. I do not refund for damage/loss sustained in transit, or because someone has simply changed their mind after receiving their record. If there is a genuine problem, it can be sorted out with friendly, honest communication, so contact me immediately on receipt of your record - please don't wait weeks before raising any problem - I'll always do my best to help.
In the unlikely event that a buyer isn't happy with the item they've received they should contact me before leaving feedback - because if the problem is genuine and has to do with my grading, description, or service, then I'll fix it - guaranteed.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Please read all descriptions/gradings carefully, check out the pictures provided, and ask any questions you may still have, prior to bidding/buying.
Please bid/buy only if you have read, and accept my terms & conditions.
