Up for consideration is this real gem. What you are looking at is a early production, most likely 1964, GE Accent Line Show N Tell projector/player with 40 records and filmstrips. There is a TON to describe so let's get started. First is it is a mostly fairy tale and real life story based collection of records/filmstrips. If you have never heard one before, be prepared to be captivated. The narration is all done by different voices all in character! My kids were captivated by them and yours will be too! The records and filmstrips are all the early and vintage 1964 and 1965 types. NO newer records in this lot.


PROJECTOR CONDITION
The projector and player is a vintage EARLY GE Accent Line with the coveted and hard to find phono LID! Yes, they actually came with turntable covers and this is one. It has one small crack in the lid as shown and does not affect functionality. Lid can be removed easily if desired. Plays all speeds of records and is fully functional in every way. Filmstrip advance works flawlessly and filmstrips advance with the record VERY nicely. Focus lever works as it should. On/Off switch works. There are two headphone jacks that accommodate any 1/4 inch headphone jack of today and each have been tested and work flawlessly! Lamp saver switch works. Cord  is undamaged and will not need replacement. Stores on it's own holder on back of projector. Now for the real goodies. Have you ever wondered why these machines are found and 99% have no needle? Here's why. THEY WORE OUT FAST! They were regular material stylus and simply could not hold up to the demands of endless hours of use. NOT ON THIS ONE! I have not only replaced the stylus with a modern technology DIAMOND stylus for longevity, I have replaced the whole cartridge with a hard to find new old stock replacement cartridge with diamond stylus installed. You WON'T wear this out easily and it comes with the old cartridge as a bonus! It also has a handy metal clip stylus guard to protect the stylus. Now for the bulb. I have seen these listed as not working "but I am sure it's a regular house bulb!" What a disappointed buyer that was! Look at the pics of the bulb housing folks! Look like a lamp bulb to you? Me neither! It's a hard to find, but possible, automotive/appliance hybrid bulb and I have replaced it too! Number is on spec sheet on bottom of projector and you can cross reference it if need be. Look at the two pieces of specially ground glass close up. If either is missing, you are out of business. They are here and in good shape. I thought I would show you this so you may avoid a bad decision in one of these "as is" models on Ebay lately. "as is" translates to DOESN'T WORK!" Condition of records/filmstrips is very good to fair and I tested them all and found only THE LITTLE RED HEN to get hung in one spot. One copy of SHOEMAKER & ELVES has a bad filmstrip but you have 2 copies of it! There are some RARE and hard to find records in this lot and ALL are old and original recordings in the original sleeves. Backside of every record are recordings of some of our most treasured children's songs! Simply put, I don't think you will find a better one soon and it would be a great addition to any child's life and even some adults as it intrigued me more than my kids I think. It's VERY cool and was really high tech when it first came out. Bring back some childhood memories today.
This will require special packaging and lot's of care. I will package and probably send FEDEX GROUND as they are more careful. If it goes USPS, I will require insurance as a standard item. Please keep this in mind as with toys this fragile and irreplaceable it covers all involved for shipping goofs! Thanks for looking!

All sales are final. Please consider my descriptions an OPINION only and not the last word. I do make some mistakes occasionally but strive not to overdescribe. Please look at items pictured closely and ask questions if you have ANY doubts, email them as I will respond quickly. I take serious pride in providing clear, accurate and unedited photos of my items that I consider to be some of the best on Ebay. You are getting everything pictured and nothing more. Please send e-mail with any questions prior to bidding. I am absolutely NOT responsible for items lost or damaged in shipping sent uninsured. I invoice WITHOUT insurance, so if it is desired, email me for an updated invoice including insurance.  Once again, if it's transit damage and sent uninsured, I cannot help you beyond that point. If item is damaged and sent insured, save ALL packing materials and take to your PO immediately for a claim or inspection. I have never had a damaged product not paid for by USPS because of less than adequate packaging. I never leave feedback until it is left for me. Unwarranted negatives will be met with the same. A note to those bidders who like to request "partial refunds." BID ELSEWHERE! PERIOD! I am a good, honest seller and like serious, honest buyers that I can work with. If you are looking for an item you can scam a seller on...NOT HERE!  I will never give a partial refund..ever!  

Shipping/Handling charges
Buyer pays actual shipping charges unless a fixed rate is noted under my item description. If no flat rate is quoted, shipping will be quoted at the end of auction after buyer has provided shipping address. Only place a bid if you are serious and are willing to incur the actual cost of shipping as stated. Fixed prices will NOT be exact. USPS has raised prices again and I do NOT ship my items in recycled mailers, boxes etc. The price of a nice NEW padded mailer is added for your item's best protection during shipping which is usually a nice NEW padded mailer or box.
Payment options
I accept money orders - cashiers checks - VISA - MC -  PayPal and personal checks which sometimes require a waiting period for clearing depending on your feedback and check number. Sorry to be so particular but I have to protect myself from bouncing funds and lost items.  Payment must be received within 7 days of closing, or buyer forfeits all rights to purchase and I WILL relist your item.
