Description
This auction is for a vintage hand etched Berliner Gramophone 7” record.
Titled “MISERERE From Trovaiore Cornet & Trombone Duel By Messrs. HIGGINS & PRYOR Of Sousa’s Band NEW YORK”.
Also on the label is “E. BERLINER’S GRAMOPHONE, ??????? Feb’y . 19 1895. Oct 29, 1895 OTER PANTENTS APPLIED FOR.
The record is in pretty good condition.
The grooves like they have little wear but does have a few indentations or what might be called “dimples” (see pictures) .
This is considered to be pretty common or normal wear for a record that was recorded more than 115 ago.
I tried to make out the writing as much as possible. I had trouble taking the pictures so I had to enhance the picture to make out the label and record.
I’m not an expert on Berliner records, and I’m not able to comment on grading or test for sound.
