Mercury SR90303 Janos Starker/Dvora’k Cello Concerto in B Minor, opus 104. Bruch Kol Nidrei, opus 47
An excellent copy of Janos Starker’s famous concerto for the violincello. Everyone I know believes this to be one of the great Mercury’s, both sound and interpretation are of the highest quality. You’ll certainly be enthralled in this first movement of Dovark with the horn solo announcing the lovely second theme, the cello-flute suite and the brilliant trumpet calls. Record play-graded on VPI TNT-5 turntable with VPI/ JMW 12.5 tonearm and Van Den Hul, The Frog cartridge. SR90303 (SIDE 1) RFR-2, a one second skip 1” towards end & 2 revolutions of low noise end of track, EX- (Still a great listening experience), (Side 2) RFR-2 EX+. Jacket cover very nice EX, original paper sleeve (slight crease bottom left, see photo) is EX.
Disc is professionally cleaned and record will be removed from original cover and placed in a new sleeve to avoid the possibility of damaging the original cover in shipping.
