Collectors copy – Near Mint / Very Good+.
For auction is my original and very rare copy of 'The Wedding Album' by Duran Duran. UK 1st edition – 1993, Parlophone DDB 34 – 7988761
Near Mint sleeves. No nasty scuffs at the edges, no unsightly creases or ring wear. No visible or audible scratches on side A. Only one visible/audible scratch/defect – on side B (see below). This is an opportunity to purchase a highly desirable 1st edition copy in genuinely superb condition.
I bought this iconic album on release and have only played it two or three times using a high quality playback system (Ortofon Kontrapunkt B cartridge, Origin Live tonearm). The record has been recently played to check for imperfections before sale, see below.

Outer sleeve = Near Mint (NM) - Still in original shrink wrap sellophane (opened). Original HMV price sticker still on cellophane (not on the actual record sleeve).
- The front is in excellent condition (see pics). - The open edge is in excellent condition (see pic). - The bottom edge is in excellent condition (see pic). - The back is in excellent condition (see pics).
- Three corners are in excellent condition. One corner (near price sticker) is VG+ condition (see pics).
Outer sleeve spine = Near Mint (NM) - The spine is in excellent condition (see pics).
Inner Sleeve = Mint (M) - Cardboard picture sleeve with lyrics.
- Sleeve is in excellent condition (see pics). - I will supply this record with an additional new poly sleeve – used to better protect the vinyl playing surface.
Record labels = Near Mint (M) - Side A is in excellent condition (see pics). - Side B is excellent condition. Three very subtle spindle track marks near the centre hole (see pics).
Vinyl = Side A Near Mint (NM). Side B Very Good+ (VG+)
- Overall playback is exceptionally good. - No discernable inner groove distortion. - Visually this record is Near Mint condition.
- The only audible defect is at the beginning of the first track on Side B (U.M.F.). This is a manufacturing fault and is audible – one single 'click' for 9 record revolutions/approx 10 seconds. I can detect no other audible defects anywhere else on this record. NOTE: If you are in any way unsure about this one defect please do not bid for this record. I have lowered the starting bid price to reflect this one small defect. - This record has been professionally cleaned using a Loricraft/SME record cleaning machine.
