Duke Ellington Quartet: Duke's Big 4 Pablo Analogue Productions Fantasy AJAZ 2310-703 Stereo: Near Mint/Mint  Vinyl is super clean perfect Mint played only by me once!   I played it last night and this sounds absolutely fantastic. Pablo pressings are known for their fantastic fidelity.  Cover is super clean and still looks brand new with super nice gloss but has just a hint of wear on the front due to storage wear.  Original plastic lined paper inner sleeve is in excellent.

Sound Quality: Pablo pressings from the 70's sound awesome and with Kevin Gray and Steve Hoffman's mastering this would be the best sounding! The bass and overall sonics on this mastering is FABULOUS!  This would be a great demonstration record for your friends at your party!

This recording features one of Ellington's finest small groups with guitarist Joe Pass, bassist Ray Brown and drummer Louie Bellson. All of these legends were at the peak of their careers for this date and were recorded in stunning fidelity. Ellington easily keeps up with his younger sidemen with strong solos on songs like "Love You Madly," "The Hawk Talks" and "Cotton Tail." This one is very highly recommended.

"Big 4, with Brown, Joe Pass, and Louie Bellson, is the sonic hair-raiser, the quartet right there, trading phrases in the same ambient space." - Fred Kaplan, The Absolute Sound, December 2005 (included in Kaplan's "Best-Sounding Jazz LPs")

I am selling off my entire rock and roll and Jazz collection that I've been collecting for over 40 years.  This is a fantastic sounding mix and it sounds fantastic! You all know that the 60's, 70's and 80's vinyl pressings are the way to go and the recording, mastering, quality, and sound are FANTASTIC! You won't find this stuff anymore. Just take a listen for yourself like I did.

Condition: I grade according to Goldmine standards. That means a VG+ vinyl will be just that, an LP that is in beautiful condtion! I am very picky when it comes to grading and grade to Goldmine standards. I absolutely hate it when dealers ameliorate the condition of the vinyl!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Especially when I am the buyer!! All my Lp's have been stored in my house upright on a shelf in an air conditioned and dry environment, meaning no warping, staining or mildew! The viny has just the tiniest of hairlines and the white labels are gorgeous! No pops, tics or scratchiness. Just pure analog mono bliss!

Shipping: Shipping will be via USPS Media Mail $8 and will be mailed in a sturdy LP mailer.
