An original 1st press of a STEREO PITB 6 Eye Columbia in USA..Matrix 1A/1A...man...this Lp is a dream find for a Jazz guru...I mean it is ticking the boxes.. 1960 original six-eye Columbia label - and In STEREO....not such an easy find these days! Stereo format was only introduced around this time. So this title will be supremely hard to get hold of. original inner too.
PLEASE NOTE THE COVER IS GENUINE AND PROPER 1960 STEREO. I see many copies with a switched cover! Tut, Tut! Pease be Assured this is the Real McCoy. PASTEOVER -- y'all! with <STEREO> on front.
Vinyl (Ex-/Vg+) Has seen some use --- but nothing excessive. The odd light mark here and there...nothing nasty.. Wow --- when on song this bas boy is cruising at NearExc and maybe the full Excellent in parts. I'm grading cautious so not to disappoint. One or two deviations. A couple of slight ticks observed in 'Happy Go Lucky'...SEE THE LIGHT --- IS a Vg+ ....getting a slight touch of background and the occasional slight tick. PERFECTLY GOOD --- just not perfect for the JAZZ perfectionist. Reproduction from this highly sought after pressing is ASTOUNDINGLY GOOD. There's a reason why people go nuts for a decent six-eye and finding it in stereo is WAY harder to find. The more I play it...the better and the quieter it is going...this copy is aces...
Cover (Vg) Front is real nice...Sticker removal top right on rear. has largely affected ageing...just slight wear. Overall the cover retain excellent rigidity and lies flat . Some edge wear.
