Description

Duke Ellington And His Orchestra, Black, Brown, And Beige. (RCA Victor. 1946.) 78 RPM

Ellington's epic of black peoples' history in North America and the United States. Exhibits in music the history of West Indies blacks during the American Revolutionary War, having come to help save Savannah, Georgia from the British.

Originally recorded at Carnegie Hall in New York. Only two live performances, NYC and Boston.

Two 10" shellac plates in pristine condition. The plates are incredibly clean of marks. They just look perfect.

The cover sleeve is a gatefold made of paper. All seams are intact.

The two inner sleeves are made of paper. One of the sleeves is considerably worn. The other sleeve is very good with a dog ear. The pictures in this listing exhibit both sides of the inner sleeves.
