DUKE ELLINGTON AND HIS ORCHESTRA ~ BLACK, BROWN & BEIGE. This four album box set RCA/Bluebird 6641, this was issued in 1988. This deluxe four album box set comes is in New- condition, the boxset is in E+ condition. Included is a 20-page oversize illustrated booklet. The selections are from the band's 1944-1946 recordings. The fifty-two selections have been digitally remastered. Musicians include; Billy Strayhorn, Johnny Hodges, Cat Anderson, Harry Carney, Taft Jordan, Ray Nance, Fred Guy, Al Sears, Rex Stewart, Marian Cox, and Al Hibbler. Songs include; "Mood Indigo", "St. Louis Blues", "Work Song", "Come Sunday", "The Blues", "I'm Beginning To See The Light", "Caravan", "In A Sentimental Mood", "Sophisticated Lady", "I Let A Song Go Out Of My Heart", "Solitude", "Black Beauty", "Things Ain't What They Used To Be", "I'm Just A Lucky So-And-So", "Rockabye River", "Just Squeeze Me", "Lover Man", "Just You, Just Me", "Beale Street Blues", "Esquire Swank", "Royal Garden Blues", "Suddenly It Jumped", "Memphis Blues", "Prelude To A Kiss", and "Every Hour On The Hour".
