For your consideration is a scarce, promotional only, 12" soundtrack record album with highlights from the 1959 Doris Day, Rock Hudson film: "Pillow Talk" ... the full, original soundtrack was never officially released as an album, this rare sampler is included on McNally's list of the Top 20 most valuable US Soundtracks ... single-sided and narrated by Doris Day, the disc is contained in a die-cut cardboard, hot pink, pillow-shaped cover which reads: "Pillow Talk" ... this 33 1/3 RPM album was a promotional issue distributed prior to the film's release ... if you're a soundtrack collector and reading this, you should already know just how rare this album is ... seldom ever seen for sale or up for auction, very few copies still exist, it's not even listed anywhere on Discogs and most other record collecting sites.
This one-sided album consists of spoken word introductions by Doris day and excerpts of songs from the film including "Pillow Talk" by Doris Day ... "Inspiration" by Rock Hudson ... "Roly Poly" by Doris & Rock ... "Possess Me" by Doris ... and finally, the "Pillow Talk" theme fade-out by Doris Day.
