Description
Dorati & The LSO –
Sibelius EN SAGA –
EMI ASD-2486 -
Recommended by TAS
Beautiful copy of this TAS pick, the performance of EN SAGA is recognized by audiophiles as one of the very finest recordings on the planet.
It is performed by soprano Gwyneth Jones, with lovely support from Dorati at baton over the LSO. Also here, LUONNOTAR, NIGHT-RIDE AND SUNRISE, and THE OCEANIDES.
Laminated cover of this copy is without major fault, and has an Odeon sticker over the dog logo (and over the labels as well) for distribution purposes only. The early EMI UK pressing within will play near mint.
Not to be missed. One of the very best.
For other fine records, TAS picks and hard-to-finds, please see my complete list of offerings here on eBay.
Shipping and handling is $5 for up to 5 LPs shipped within the States. Internationally, $15 via airmail for the first LP, $3 each thereafter. (Canada is half that.) Boxes over 4 lbs., add another $6, because First Class is no longer available at that weight, just Priority Mail. Note, too, boxed sets of LPs require more postage.
