Description
This beautiful original 1956 Mono Copy of "All Night Long" is a real "Peach". It of course has the yellow and black "deep groove" label, with RVG etched in the run off portion of the vinyl. Also etched into side A is PR-LP-7073-A and on side B is etched PR-LP-7073-B. Also stamped on the label was NOT FOR SALE on side B and the same thing on the backside of the cover down the left edge, making it an even rarer promo copy.
The cover is beautiful both front and back with very few flaws. It displays tremendous, cover shines showing no wear. Bottom right corner has a minor crinkle. Top right corner area is missing a small piece of seam overlap. Outside of that it is great and I grade it NM-. The label is flat out NM. It shows no wear or usage. The vinyl shines brilliantly with great luster. I can see no signs of wear or usage on either side of the LP. I really doubt that it had ever been played before I played it to grade the record. (felt like popping the cherry of the spindle hole when I placed it on the spindle to play.) This record plays NM as I turned it up to a higher than normal volume, I heard nothing but beautiful jazz music! There are what I call pressing "freckles" on both sides of the vinyl which has to be held in the light to see. Does not affect the sound at all. I have had some late 1950's jazz albums with these on it and think that they must originated at some point in the vinyl pressing process. This is a rare, beautiful, and great sounding jazz LP which has been identified as one if not the most iconic jam sessions ever recorded! It would be a tremendous addition for the serious jazz collector wanting rarity, condition, and superb sound.
