Description
ORIGINAL 60S DONALD BYRD SESSION ON BLUE NOTE VINYL!
Seldom seen in UK auctions is a superb original Liberty pressing of Donald Byrd's Fancy Free (Blue Note BST 84319). I have fully play-tested the vinyl, so my grading is based on how the record actually sounds, as well as how it looks; all visual details described below are represented in the accompanying photos.
Vinyl is Excellent- overall, with a generally quiet soundstage and only faint crackle on the run-in and a very occasional pop (which from inspecting the vinyl would probably be fixed with a clean). The appearance of the vinyl on side 2 is probably more like VG++ due to a scuff mark towards the end of track 1 on that side, but this doesn't affect the audio as far as I can hear. Labels are original Blue Note Liberty, consistent with a first pressing, and in Excellent condition apart from the assiduous New Yorker who fixed each label with his name & address, bringing it down to VG+ :-)
Original cover is strictly graded VG+, due to the aforementioned sticker with a date stamp, some inconspicuous writing in the lower right corner, and faint ringwear.

Note that I separate the vinyl from the outer sleeve for postage to prevent seam splits. I use thick cardboard stiffeners and take great care in my packaging to ensure as far as possible that these records reach their destination in exactly the same condition as when they leave me, and in the way I'd like to receive them.
All items are play-tested throughout, and I strive to be comprehensive and fair in grading descriptions. If you require any further information, including photos, then let me know and I'll do my best to help.
