Description

Donald Byrd        Byrd Blows On Beacon Hill       mono    Transition TRLP 17 GXF 3124       King Japan w insert   Beautiful Japanese pressing of legendarily rare LP.

Donald Byrd (t) Ray Santisi (p), Doug Watkins (b), Jimmy Zitano (d) Recorded 1956 

 The record looks and plays M-.  No scuffs and no scratches.  One or two very light spindle marks on labels. Vinyl is bright and glossy.  Grooves do not show any wear or damage and look unplayed or nearly so.        

 The cover is VG++.  

    The front cover is bright and shiny and looks nice with little or no wear.  There is a moderate size dent at the top of the pocket, a tiny one at bottom and a hint of ring wear. The back cover is bright and glossy with no visible wear. Spine is intact and readable.  

Black lines that might be visible at bottom left and top right in pictures are due to photo cropping and not on record.

 My highest grade is M- and I rarely grade 50s or 60s records M-. Records are graded visually using the Goldmine system. M-, VG++, VG+, VG, VG- etc. I play grade any potential problem areas.  I attempt to grade conservatively, listing all significant flaws. You will be satisfied.  No hassles.
