Up for auction I have DON AND THE GOODTIMES "Greatest Hits" LP, Burdette 300 STEREO, 1966 pressing. This is some amazing NorthWest rock n roll, just as outstanding as the very great Sonics and Wailers. TRUE STEREO PRESSING.
Songs featured are: LITTLE SALLY TEASE/YOU'LL NEVER WALK ALONE/I'M REAL/BLUE TURNS TO GREY/I'LL BE DOWN FOREVER/HEY THERE MARY MAE/YOU WERE JUST A CHILD/SWEETS FOR MY SWEET/COLORS OF LIFE/AND IT'S SO GOOD/I HATE TO HATE YOU/YOU DID IT BEFORE
The cover is still SHRINK WRAPPED. The spine and seams are perfect in every way, front and back covers are bold, sharp, crisp and clean.
This is play graded vinyl. Side one matrix no. BUR 300 AS 11725, side two, BUR 300 BS 11725X. This was still a sealed copy until February 5, 2007 when I cracked the vinyl in order to determine wether this pressing is a TRUE STEREO COPY, for which it IS. The vinyl and labels are perfect in every way. This copy has been played less than once all the way through. Like brand new, perfect MINT MINUS condtion of the vinyl and cover.
People talk about the 60's NorthWest as being mainly The Sonics or The Wailers, yet Don and the Goodtimes Greatest HIts LP, is and has been, one of my all time fifty greatest NW raves! Just ask Steve Turner (Mudhoney) where he got the tune for "Touch Me I'm Sick". You'll know, once you hear, "I'm Real". LITTLE SALLY TEASE is a NW PUNK CLASSIC. Great clean and crisp recording.
