Dogs in Space. Original Motion Picture Soundtrack. Atlantic Records(81789-1). 1987.
Extremely rare soundtrack LP album of 'Dogs in Space' released in early 1987 and unavailable since, it is now a collectors item, only released on CD in Japan. The album came in two versions: a "R" rated version in black sleeve and a censored version in a white sleeve. Fantastic compilation from start to finish, chronicling the contemporary post-punk band scene of the late 70's and the so called 'little bands' of Melbourne, with the original 'Shivers' sung by Nick Cave. Michael Hutchence performs 3 tracks, his 'Rooms for the Memory' produced by Ollie Olson was released as a solo single.
