Description

This Auction Is For A Rare Highly Collectable Album By Dire Straits Brothers In Arms  With A Rare Philips Promotional Die-cut Cover Sleeve. This Was A Promotional  Competition Item For Dire Straits 1986 Australian Tour. It Contains The Original A Brothers In Arms Album With A Philips Promotional Sleeve/Cover. 


Condition: Vinyl is in very good condition It has some light surface scratches. I have played this through on both sides without a problem and sounds good. The album cover is in very good condition it has some shelf wear. The inner The lyric sheet is in very good condition does have some creases on the edge. The promo cover is in very good condition it has some shelf wear and two creases on the guitar part of the cutout. Note: This Item comes in an exclusive die-cut gatefold slip jacket with a pocket to hold LP. Jacket die-cut shows the guitar through the cutout from the enclosed Brothers In Arms LP.

LP included is the regular commercial Australian issue, but listed as a promo due to the special outer cover and as it was used to "promo' an internal Philips sales competition.

Issued to Philips sales Assistants promoting a Philips internal competition to win free tickets and /Or Philips CD's and LP's after qualifying certain numbers of sales of Eligible Philips electrical products during 1985, leading up to the Philips sponsored live tour of Dire Straits in 1986

Internal details on the die cut sleeve give competition details and eligibility for the 26 products to be sold to qualify for the promotion prizes.
