Description
Hello everyone...!
Here we have the super rare Dire straits live album, "American Tour 1985" Pressed on stunning clear vinyl.
It is on the well know European collectors label "Swingin Pig records" catalogue No TSP-088.
Swingin Pig records were well known for thier high quality pressings and deluxe covers with artwork by William Stout. They specialised in bringing great live recordings to the fans.
This is a recording of Dire Straits from thier concert in Cuyahoga Falls...USA... on August 5th 1985 and is full of fantastic live performances of Dire Straits greatest and well known songs like "Sultans Of Swing" and "Money For Nothing" My personal favourite though is "Wild West End" which to my knowledge doesn't appear as a live recording on any other album!! You can see the full track listing in the Photos.
This copy is from my personal collection and i am reluctantly selling it, as i simply don't play it anymore. It deserves to be heard and so my loss is another lucky collectors gain..!
Condition
Vinyl: I'm grading as "Excellent" The superb clear vinyl is still nice and glossy and i see no scratches or any real surface marks. One of the records is pure clear vinyl, the other is clear but has a cream splatter running through it... quite unique!! The Labels are perfectly cut and placed and there are only the tiniest spindle marks.
Outer Cover: I'm grading as "Very good minus " It is Gatefold and it is still nice and glossy, the edges and corners are still crisp and there are no splits or tears. The cover though, is showing signs of general age wear with a few scuffs on the face and spine you can see these in the photos. However it is still a very very nice record!
Inner Sleeve: I'm Grading both inners as "Excellent" They are super items on thier own! Poly lined and with William Stout artwork. There are no splits or tears and they are still nice and clean.
All in all this is a fantastic record.... and rare collectors item. This is a must for any Straits fan!
I am selling a few other rare and collectable Dire Straits items so please take a look...!
