Dexys Midnight Runners 1981 Plan B EMI Abbey Road Studios Acetate
Rare opportunity to acquire this 7" acetate of Dexy's classic 'Plan B' in its original incarnation, with the B-side 'Soulfinger'. Manufactured at Abbey Road Studios, this acetate was eventually forgotten then fished out of the waste basket of Polygram A&R man Roger Ames, by Polygram artiste Julian Cope, who has kept it in his archive since 1981. The disc has been played many times but – contrary to industry opinion – the acetate has remained loud and eminently playable. Both sides have just been played and are just as enjoyable as decades ago. Many thanks for looking.
