Description
Dexter Gordon "One Flight Up" on Blue Note (4176). This is not a final collection copy but is a nice find regardless. Cover is a little scuffed and has about a 1-1/2" seam split and some roughness on the lower edge - vinyl plays through fine although there is a scuff (pictured) that looks like it could skip but does not. I am not a Blue Note expert and haven't researched this but it has the New York address label and 61st Street on the jacket.

Note: I have received a number of questions about this record. First, there is indeed a stylized "P" in the run-off wax, which I understand to be a pressing plant indicator. There are no feelable scratches but there is light scuffing all over the surface. I have it playing right now (on a Pro-Ject Expression II with an Ortofon Blue MM cartridge) and it really sounds quite nice with no clicks or pops and just a little background static. I think it would benefit further from a spin on a VPI or some more thorough cleaning. Thanks for looking and bidding!
