Dexter Gordon - Doin' Allright (Blue Note BLP 4077) – Authentic 1961 MONO First Pressing**


Up for sale is a highly collectible, true 1961 mono first pressing of Dexter Gordon's historic Blue Note Records debut, *Doin' Allright*. This copy possesses all the core visual and structural markers required by elite jazz purists and collectors.


**Label & Deadwax Provenance Details:**

- **Labels:** Features the original "Blue Note Records Inc. • New York USA" addresses on both sides.

- **Deep Groove:** True double deep groove (DG) circles pressed on Side 1 and Side 2.

- **Deadwax / Runout Stamps:** Stamped "RVG" (Rudy Van Gelder mastering) and the Plastylite  are clearly present on both sides.


**Personnel Lineup:**

Dexter Gordon (Tenor Saxophone), Freddie Hubbard (Trumpet), Horace Parlan (Piano), George Tucker (Bass), and Al Harewood (Drums).

### CONDITION REPORT & GRADING


**Vinyl Condition: VG **

The vinyl retains a nice, healthy gloss. Under bright light, it shows simple, light cosmetic surface scratches and faint paper wisps.


The surface marks are completely superficial and do not affect play. There are no deep feelable gouges, no skips, no recurring loud pops, and no tracking issues. It plays loudly, clearly, and powerfully with great mono fidelity.


**Cover Condition:  VG)**

The original laminated jacket shows typical shelf wear and aging, but the artwork remains bold. There is light ring wear and corner rubbing. No heavy writing, major water damage, or tracking stains.



**Inner Sleeve Good+:**

Includes the original vintage paper liner sleeve.

2.5 inch unnoticeable seam split on middle bottom

Conservatively downgraded to a good+ due to seam split

The record will be removed from its jacket prior to transit to completely prevent any seam splits during shipping. Housed safely in a a special record wrap  and shipped securely in a dedicated cardboard record mailer.
