Description

Devo – "Come Back Jonee" is a song from their 1978 debut album Q: Are We Not Men?  A: We Are Devo!, written by Gerald V. Casale (music) and Mark Mothersbaugh (lyrics).  The track is a satirical take on the archetype of the "everyman" rock star, using the fictional character Jonee—a phonetic play on "Johnny"—to represent an average man whose life ends in a car crash after a failed relationship.  The lyrics include the iconic line: "Jonee jumped in his Datsun, drove out on the expressway, went head-on into a semi—his guitar’s all that’s left now." This Single is on Virgin records vs223 and is in near mint / mint condition. Sleeve is in like wise condition.
