Destiny’s Child, the world’s best-selling female pop vocal group announce dates for “Destiny Fulfilled … And Lovin’ It” World Tour 2005. Presented by McDonald’s® - The band’s First Tour in 3 Years comes to Australia on April 21st 2005.
Destiny’s Child (Beyoncé Knowles, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams) will kick off the Australian leg of their world tour on Thursday April 21 2005 at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre. The band will play two further dates in Australia. On April 23 Destiny’s Child will perform live at the Sydney Superdome and at Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne on April 26. This is the band’s first tour in over 3 years where they will perform at 75 venues over 5 months in 16 countries
The new tour will combine the spectacular production and charismatic performances that fans have come to expect from Destiny’s Child with the intimate atmosphere and up-close connections of an arena setting. The band began making plans for the new tour after completing their eagerly awaited new album ‘Destiny Fulfilled’ (Sony Music). ‘Destiny Fulfilled’ is the Grammy-winning trio’s first full-length album since 2001 # 1 world smash “Survivor”. The album features the group’s current track ‘Lose My Breath’ which is already a Top 5 hit on the Billboard Hot 100.
The ‘Destiny Fulfilled … And Lovin’ It’ tour will feature an entirely new stage, designed by the same team responsible for the sensational sets and dramatic effects the band used on the ‘Independent Women’ world tour. The open plan will focus attention on the band’s dynamic performances, while providing excellent visual opportunity for ticket holders in all seating, with 360º great views
Destiny’s Child formed in Houston, TX, and rose to become one of the best-selling groups of the late-90’s and early 00’s. Destiny’s Child burst onto the music scene in 1997 with their multi-platinum single “No, No, No”. The multi-Grammy award-winning group has sold more than 40 million records and received a total of 22 gold, platinum and multi-platinum RIAA certificates. The group’s new album, ‘Destiny Fulfilled’, will be released through Sony Columbia on November 15th, 2004.
