Classic electronic free jazz recording in impossible-to-find still-sealed condition, one of the first (and greatest) releases on ECM. The lineup is led by Derek Bailey (electric guitar), with Hugh Davies (live electronics), Evan Parker (saxophone), Jamie Muir (percussion), and, on 2 of the 7 tracks, Christine Jeffrey (voice).

Bailey founded the Incus label and the bands Spontaneous Music Ensemble, Iskra, and Company, has worked with Anthony Braxton, Evan Parker, Tony Oxley, Gavin Bryars, Dave Holland, Han Bennink, Steve Lacy, John Zorn, Pat Metheny, Peter Brotzmann, Cecil Taylor, Henry Kaiser, William Parker, and Manfred Schoof, and is associated with other guitar innovators like Sonny Sharrock, Thurston Moore, Lee Renaldo, John McLaughlin, Fred Frith, and Keith Rowe. Hugh Davies is a composer, improvisor, electronic sound researcher, and sound installation artist who worked as an assistant to Karlheinz Stockhausen and collaborated with Bailey and other free jazz musicians. I use new record mailers from Cameron Packaging (which I have determined are the best and most protective) reinforced with cardboard inserts and bubble wrap padding. All records are shipped with poly plastic sleeves. All packages are completely sealed with strong packing tape covering all openings.
