Why is this so rare:-
Vinyl: Orange Sire Labels on BOTH sides with specific Track List for each (normal issue is, side1: red speakers image, side 2: white label with all tracks).
No mention of STUMM 47.
Outer Cover: Front is stamped ‘Lent for Promotional Use...... etc’, and Grey Speaker image below middle.
Rear has different wording along the base referring to Sire, not Mute or Sony.
Inner Sleeve: All lyrics printed on the Inner Sleeve (not always the case)
Collectively, all these variations make this a very rare item indeed.
Audible Grading
Side 1: VG (would be EX apart from 3 minor clicks on track 5, not jumps or skips)
Side 2: VG (would be EX apart from 1 minor click on track 4 and 1 on track 5, not jumps or skips)
Due to the value of this item I have tried to be as critical as possible.
Apart from the comments above, the whole album plays superbly, the sound is crisp and clear and has hardly been played during its 34yrs of life.
All records have been completely played on a Technics system with a new needle within 24hrs of listing.
In my opinion all records from my collection are of a high standard, no rubbish, and generally rated as EX or VG as below:
EX (Excellent) – Plays perfectly.
VG (Very Good) – May have the odd light click here and there, overall a clean playback.
G (Good) – Possible light noise in quieter moments, may have the odd light click here and there.
Visual Grading
Outer Cover: In excellent condition with no marks or creases, slight signs of use, all edges are intact.
Inner Sleeve: In excellent condition with no creases, 1 light mark on left edge of image side, hardly any signs of use, lyrics are still crisp and clear, 2/3 inch tear in the middle of each edge.
Please review all photos as they form part of the description.
Will be posted by Royal Mail in a brand new cardboard mailer (not paper or card).
Will only post within the UK – No oversees postage.
Please ask any questions before buying.
Please have a look at my other rare records for sale.
