Item Description     This is the fifth studio album by Depeche Mode titled "Black Celebration". Released in 1986 by Sire Records. Length: 41:01, 12 synth-pop tunes. Catalog #1-25429. This has been stored upright on my album shelf since I got it. The record is in very good condition because it has not been played. This means no skips, pops, scratches, scuff marks, or crackling. Time now for me to thin out my collection. The jacket and colorful sleeve inside with song lyrics on one side are also in very good condition. About The Album     Depeche Mode are an English electronic band formed in 1980. Originally formed with the line-up of Dave Gahan, Martin Gore, Andy Fletcher and Vince Clarke, the band currently consists of Gahan and Gore. The albums "Black Celebration" (1986) and "Music for the Masses" (1987) cemented them as a dominant force within the electronic and alternative music scenes. Their musical style shifted slightly again in 1986 with the release of their fifteenth single, "Stripped", and its accompanying album "Black Celebration". Retaining their often imaginative sampling and beginning to move away from the "industrial pop" sound that had characterized their previous two LPs, the band introduced an ominous, highly atmospheric and textured sound. Gore's lyrics also took on a darker tone and became more pessimistic. Instead of "Stripped", "But Not Tonight" was released as a single in the US, due to its more commercial appeal. The album peaked at #90 on the US Billboard 200 Album Chart. ©Wikipedia
