Description

Demon Fuzz

Afreaka

Janus Records JLS 3028 (1978)

Condition/Jacket: VG- with a good amount of ring and storage wear, consistent edge wear, seam split in upper right, price sticker rash, “x” in marker in upper right. Seams are reasonably tight, and spine is still intact and legible

Condition/Vinyl: Visual grade is VG with some rash and two light, shallow scratches that are barely audible. BUT overall it play-grades at VG+ or perhaps even higher; a bit of surface noise but nothing that detracts (I was very, very pleasantly surprised with the way this sounded after being cleaned). Label is generally VG+, but has a small “x” in marker on both sides.

Overall the condition of this is a bit of a mixed bag, but this is rare as hell and the condition is way, way better than many copies I’ve seen on eBay over the past few years. Most importantly, the wax is definitely highly listenable and sample-ready.

Please check my other listings for more records. Among other things, I will be posting throughout fall 2011 a large collection of desirable classical LPs (and possibly some 78s) in excellent condition.

=======

Major heaviness in the form of a mostly-instrumental, twisted combination of Tony Williams’ Lifetime and Funkadelic...or something along those lines. Either way, this is a rare classic from an obscure but well-remembered and oft-sampled British psych/funk/progressive outfit, and you must own it if any of those terms mean anything to you.

=======

I grade conservatively and play-grade whenever possible. Visual grades are done with powerful raking light. I rarely use NM without an explanation, and I do my best to report all major condition issues.

All records are shipped in proper record shipping boxes. Vinyl is always packed outside of jacket, in a new rice paper or lined paper inner sleeve, with a new poly sleeve outer. I clean most LPs with a Nitty Gritty cleaner, except when the vinyl appears to be near mint or a cleaning appears otherwise unnecessary. I like clean, I like safe.

For US buyers, I ship USPS Media Mail at flat rates of $3.00 for single LPs and $5 for doubles and small boxes. Some heavier pieces (I mean weight) will be shipped at actual cost, billed to buyer with the final invoice. I will combine shipping at actual cost, again using Media Mail. You can always let me know if you'd like another shipping method and I will accommodate, at actual cost.

For non-US buyers, shipping is at actual cost using USPS First Class International. International buyers: please do not contact me before the end of the auction for shipping rates. I usually do not pack a record until the end of each auction. I will provide non-US buyers with the actual shipping cost via the invoice, after I have packed and weighed the box. I may require insurance for certain countries, where possible.

I normally do not take returns, but the buyer should be in touch with me if upon receipt s/he feels that something has been seriously mis-represented.

PayPal only.

Thanks.
