Description
For sale Del Shannon "Runaway with Del Shannon" Big Top 12-1303 (1961) Not the stereo version
Cover: Edges all intact, no splits or even scuffing. Both top and bottom right corners appear "bumped" at one time or another but these are very mild. Surface of front and back show just the tiniest of surface wear/dirt but you can barely see it. On rear cover "3.98" is written in very faint pencil (can we all say #2 eraser?) in the upper left corner. All in all I would think the cover goes solid VG+ maybe VG++. I keep thinking "ridiculous" but I don't believe that is industry grading terminology. At any rate this is a beautiful cover.
Labels: Both labels pretty nice, on side 2 seems that some of the silver paint on the word "Boxtop" has come or worn off. Very faint spindle wear on both sides meaning some faint marks in the black label but the spindle hole has not been misshaped..
Vinyl: Both sides play well, no skips or jumps. I'm listening to it now, (this is good music) background noise not really mentionable. Some scratches are visible here and there but do not cause pops or effect play of the record. I'm thinking a VG+ would be on the mark.
