Deep Purple,Made In Japan,LP, Catalogue Number: (TPS 3512), Cover Details: Front laminated gatefold sleeve with a Plain inner sleeve.

Cover Condition: very good condition with some creasing or marks as seen in the pictures or noted.

Record Condition: Has been played a fair amount and clearly shows surface marks which are likely to affect play in some way with background noise in most of the quiet parts & possibly the odd click but should not jump or skip.

Any Other Details: Original first pressing, double album, we believe this to be a rare contract pressing, not made by EMI. The colour of the labels is more pink than the EMI ones. There is an extra ridge on the inside of the label about 1.5cm from the edge. The words 'Made In Gt Britain' are missing from the bottom of the labels as are the brackets from the title. It does have the 'Gramophone Co' text around the rim and the correct first press matrix numbers - TPS 3511 A-1U with 'Porky' hand etched & TPS 3511 B-1U with 'Delta Pork' hand etched, TPS 3512 A-1U with 'Pecko' hand etched & TPS 3512 B-1U with 'Pecko' hand etched. These records have been listened to and on our record player record one was excellent with a few static pops and the odd light crackle, record two - side one sounded excellent, side two has a feelable scratch across track one, which caused pops every rotation during the long drum solo in the middle of the track, some pops were very quiet some louder. There is a tiny white blemish further in which caused a few light crackles. The sleeve has some light shelf wear and several small creases at the spine and bottom edges as if often the case. Inside the gatefold is a very small amount of shelf wear and a tiny surface tear near the opening edge. There are no stains, splits or large creases. Its still a solid sleeve its just been handled a bit much for an excellent grade
