Deep Purple - Shades Of Deep Purple

(Parlophone PCS 7055 UK LP 1968)

 

This is the original UK stereo pressing. It has a front laminated flipback sleeve. The record has yellow & black Parlophone labels with "The Gramophone Co..." & "Sold In The UK..." texts. The record also has 1st press -1/ -1 matrix stampers. Comes with a period polythene-lined inner sleeve. This is their classic debut LP as a UK original pressing. These are rare in any condition!

 

Sleeve: Mild creasing wear to the front & light ringwear also. VG condition

Vinyl: Sadly quite a well played copy. There are sleeve rubs which can be seen under a strong light & about 5 marks on side 2. One mark causes some clicks on the last song. Good- condition. I have play-tested this LP in its entirety & it plays with no jumps & does not stick either. There is crackle - more noticeable in the quieter places. This is a collection filler copy, but it is a rare LP. The labels are clean  & show moderate spindle wear. 

 

Grading adheres to “Record Collector” specifications. I shall use good quality packaging (proper cruciform mailer & card dividers). Insurance is necessary if this item exceeds £40.
