Deep Purple
In RockRare Original 1st press UK LP released in 1970 on Harvest Records. Cat: SHVL777. This album has a gatefold sleeve. Matrix numbers are SHVL - 777 A-2/ SHVL - 777 B-1. Has Printed and made by Garrod & Lofthouse ltd on inside of gatefold. Has Gramophone Co. around rim not EMI Records. Has No EMI logo on label. Comes with original advertising inner sleeve with patent no's 1,125,555 & 1,072,844 at bottom.

After satisfying all of their classical music kinks with keyboard player Jon Lord's overblown Concerto for Group and Orchestra, Deep Purple's soon to be classic Mark II version made its proper debut and established the sonic blueprint that would immortalize this lineup of the band on 1970's awesome In Rock. The cacophony of sound (spearheaded by Ritchie Blackmore's blistering guitar solo) introducing opener "Speed King" made it immediately obvious that the band was no longer fooling around, but the slightly less intense "Bloodsucker" did afford stunned listeners a chance to catch their breaths before the band launched into the album's epic, ten-minute tour de force, "Child in Time."
Tracks: Speed king/ Blood sucker/ Child in time/ Flight of the rat/ Into the fire/ Living wreck/ Hard lovin' man.
Labels are nice and clean, there are a few light spindle marks. Record has some light scuff marks that produce a few light crackles and is in Excellent condition. Gloss gatefold cover has light ring wear, a few light marks, light scuffing on corners and a few tiny surface tears around edges and is in VG++ condition.

Wrapping method: All records are sent in stiff cardboard mailers then wrapped in brown paper and sealed around edges with brown packaging tape. Records are taken out of sleeve to avoid seam splits and ring wear.
Post methods within Australia: All records are posted via Australia Post. Within Australia all items come with a tracking number.
Post method for overseas: All parcels are sent via Australia Post and are sent on a standard airmail service. There are no tracking numbers on these items. If you require a tracking number the item will have to be sent as an insured item which incurs a further postage fee.
