This fine UK 1st pressing dates from March 1972 release on the EMI-pressed 'Purple' label: TPSA 7504.

Being a true 1st pressing, both label rim texts begins; 'The Gramophone Co. Ltd...'


Matrix numbers: TPSA 7504 A-1U & TPSA 7504 B-1U

Stamper codes: 2/MH & 3/OA

Vinyl weight: 147g


Housed in an outer-laminated 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed gatefold cover.

Complete with fold-out lyric poster/sheet & original plain white 'Patent No.' inner-sleeve.



CONDITION

Disc: NEAR MINT

This wonderful sounding, well looked-after disc has received some careful play on top quality equipment only. Both playing surfaces retain all of their deep-gloss factory shine with just a few harmless wispy inner-sleeve removal marks & a sparkling rainbow shine visible beneath halogen light. The sound is totally unworn with no traces of any audible wear or distractions anywhere.

Stored all its life within a protective cover which has perfectly preserved the high-gloss laminate which is totally free from any storage rubbing, 'thumbnail' creases or corner damage. Apart from a couple of tiny edge wrinkles, there really is nothing to fault overall. Both panels inside the gatefold are clean & unblemished and both seams and the spine are unworn and perfectly worded.
