Deep Purple: Love Conquers All. Uncut picture disc. Very rare.
BMG/RCA: Cat No : PT 49224- A/B.
I would imagine this was one that escaped the pressing plant, poss as a reject at quality control, probably due to the split in the original embedded pic disc transfer/image – see photo.
Pretty sure you’ll not see another.
Disc is in its original plastic sleeve and has not been played by my Dad.
Always difficult to visually assess pic disc quality due to inevitable poorer quality reproduction and background picture distorting the way light falls on the grooves.
No significant issues with grooved track areas other then odd feint hairlines. There is a radial groove some 40mm long in the ‘waste’ clear border of the disc on the B side, between the hands, this would have ben cut away when disc released into he community for sale

A few words about the vinyl grading.
I try to be as honest as possible, but all grades are based upon an experienced but ultimately subjective visual inspection, trying to identify and highlight obvious issues.
Back in the day whilst my Dad purchased much of the vinyl new, as he expanded his collection , (eventually running into a few thousand discs) hence many only played once, inevitably he was drawn to second hand (pre-loved) copies of certain discs, including the rarer original 1970’s issue boots.
As you will appreciate, otherwise you wouldn’t be reading this or looking at the listing, the nature of many of these live/unofficial recordings meant that original production standards were not necessarily a top priority, with occasional mastering/pressing faults occurring.
Similarly with any second hand vinyl which in some cases is almost 50 years old they will potentially exhibit aural signs of having been played, sometimes a fair bit..these are not mint, new unplayed discs (unless stated).
The attraction for my Dad was either obtaining the different variations of an issue or otherwise unavailable rare recordings…its called collecting!
When playing vinyl my Dad had a Technics SL1800 turntable with Ortfon cartridge, so no thrashing and grinding on an old fidelity UA4! (early 70’s starter bedroom lo-fi, crank it up ?).
I aim to use recycled packaging when possible, but rest assure that your vinyl will be well packed and protected against the trials of postal travel!
