Description
Today I am offering ONE album from a selection of SIX Great Deep Purple Vinyl Records. Early pressings on most of them, including 'Porkie' matrix and others. Full details coming soon. I'm only selling them as I could do with some money and am keeping my copies of 'Machine Head' and 'Deep Purple In Rock', which are the ones I loved in my, long gone, youth.
The most exciting one for many will be this expensive and harder to come by Connoiseur Records Copy of:
'In the Absence of Pink' - Gatefold double album recorded at Knebworth in 1985. VSOP LP 163. I will be recleaning everything on my VPI professional record cleaning machine once this sells so it will reach you in even better condition than it already is.
It and its cover is in wonderful condition and you rarely see it for sale in the UK, strangely as that is where it was recorded. I have just play tested the 'In the Absence of Pink' album, possibly the most valuable here and it plays crackle and pop free (bearing in mind this IS DEEP PURPLE whose distortion is well known). There are a couple of non-sounding tiny marks tested on my 1.25 gram cartridge and stylus. Perfect.
I will call this one at least Ex/Ex - you won't be disappointed with the sound of these and you can see the covers in detail in my photos along with the track listings from the vinyl centres. Ask to see more if you want. These come from a loving fan who really looked after their records. If you want to know details that you can't see in the photos just ask me a question and I'll get back quickly. This auction will end next Monday and I am open to offers. No reserve so let's hope we are both happy.
Matrix numbers to follow for those that want to know. Most of these are quite early pressing and I know that the playing quality is superb. Get in early with your bid.
FREE Postage in the UK. However many you buy from me the postage is the same! Although I do have discounts on offer via ebay on here. Collection welcome from Brighton where you can get first look at lots more vinyl that I will soon be parting with. By the way check my perfect feedback if you like such things.
Best wishes and thanks,
Tony
