Description
Deep Purple’s first album with the revised line up including Ian Gillan and Roger Glover which I purchased brand new in 1970. The LP is in it’s original gatefold cover and inner sleeve. The gatefold inner includes the lyrics to all the songs, the band members, a short note on each track including the recording studio used. Side 1’s run-out is stamped S HVL 777 A-2 and side 2’s is stamped S HVL 777 B-1.
The LP is in excellent visual and audible condition. The LP has been cleaned, played and checked for playback quality on a Pro-Ject turntable with an ADC cartridge. No audible defects were heard. The inner sleeve is in good overall condition but has some light creases. The gatefold cover is in very good overall condition with just some slight dis-colouration along the top of the two inner sides, some creasing down the spine and if you get the light just right, some scuff marks can be seen as might be expected for an album of this age. My only other comment is that Child In Time still sounds extraordinary and as with the whole album, is best played LOUD!
