DEEP PURPLE - 'IN ROCK'
1970 UK 1st PRESSING LP
This NEAR MINT UK 1970 1st pressing is on green Harvest label: SHVL 777
Both labels omit the boxed EMI logo found on later issues.
The disc is housed in an outer laminated gatefold cover printed by 'Garrod & Lofthouse'
Complete with its original plain white 'Patent Nos...' inner-sleeve.
Matrix numbers: SHVL 777 A-2 & SHVL 777 B-1
Stamper codes: 1/GO & 1/GD

A striking & superb set with just a handful of light spindle trails to the side 2 centre hole only.
Visual: NEAR MINT
Both playing surfaces of this extremely well-looked after copy are immaculate, totally unmarked & 'As new' in strong daylight, and revealing only a sparkling rainbow shine and some harmless wispy inner-sleeve paper hairlines on side directly beneath my powerful halogen des lamp. Each side lie 100% flat on the turntable when playing.
Play: NEAR MINT
This outstanding copy plays 'as new' throughout with no traces or any audible faults or wear whatsoever. I detected no signs of any groove/play wear distortion and no background noise during the quiet parts - because there aren't any.

EXCELLENT +
A well-preserved, clean & strong example which retains a superb high-gloss laminate all-round with just a hint of storage rubbing but no 'thumbnails' or any other creasing or blemishes. There is a little shelfwear bruising to the lower corners but all opening edges sharp & unworn. The inside of the gatefold is unmarked and free from any writing or missing paper. All seams and the fully worded spine are smooth, fully laminated and unstressed.

Clean & undamaged with just a little storage wrinkling, but no writing or splits to any seam.
