Description

Deep Purple - In Rock (Original UK Vinyl LP 1st Pressing)

First U.K. pressing in great condition.
Laminated Garrod & Lofthouse gatefold sleeve, A2/B1 matrices, "file under popular: pop groups" printed inside gatefold,  "The Gramophone Co" text around label rim, no EMI logo on label, poly-lined EMI advertising inner sleeve with "Patent nos 1,125,555 & 1,072,844" at the bottom.

The Vinyl is in Excellent/Very Good+ condition. Glossy vinyl with great audio. Side 1 is in Very Good+ condition with one surface hairline and some very light crackles during some of the quieter passages of music but plays as excellent. Side 2 is in Excellent condition. The vinyl has a very slight warp but this does not affect the sound in any way.

The laminated gatefold sleeve is in Excellent+ condition. Glossy laminate with clean, unmarked spine and edges. There is one surface crease near the top right of the back cover and some very light rippling which is only really noticeable on the inside of the gatefold sleeve.

The original poly-lined EMI printed inner sleeve is in Excellent condition with no seam splits.

Both labels are clean and unmarked.

Released in 1970 on Harvest Records Cat: SHVL 777 Matrix numbers: A2/B1.

ALL THE ALBUMS I SELL ARE VERY SECURELY PACKAGED WITH AT LEAST TWO STIFFENERS AND NEW PLASTIC SLEEVES. I ALWAYS PLACE THE RECORD OUTSIDE THE OUTER SLEEVE TO ENSURE THERE IS NO DAMAGE TO THE SLEEVE IN TRANSIT. I ONLY USE THE HIGHEST GRADE PACKAGING TO ENSURE THE RECORDS ARRIVE IN THE CONDITION I STATE IN MY LISTINGS.

Grading

I grade all my records using the Record Collector's Grading System which is as follows:

Mint - The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

Excellent - The record shows signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

Very Good - The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

Good - The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits discoloration etc.

Fair - The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise: it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/ or defaced.

Poor - The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
