Description
Please note that shipping to the USA is not $4, however my postage rates start as low as $8 (Europe) and $9 (USA & worldwide) for one LP!
Schubert: Arpeggione Sonata; Bridge: Cello Sonata performed by Mstislav Rostropovich (cello) and Benjamin Britten (piano). A legendary recording!
Decca SXL 6426 UK wide band label stereo LP, 1W / 3W stampers
British pressing in front laminated cover, with original period inner sleeve
Cover in Excellent* condition: Cover and contents might have slight wear and/or creasing. *Cover is clean and intact with no tears, creases or seam splits. Only normal shelf wear is present and some very light darkening to the preciously white back cover. Please check the photos, I took plenty!
Record(s) in Excellent** condition: The record shows some signs of being played but there is very little lessening in sound quality. **Record is clean and retains full lustre under strong light. There is one spindle marking each label. Both sides have a few superficial non-sounding sleeve scuffs (quite common with early Decca polythene sleeves) and there is one tiny (less than 1 mm) factory mark which makes 3 pops during the last movement of the Bridge Sonata. I have play tested the record and I didn't notice pops or crackles. Instrument sound is full-bodied and you can even discern Rostropovich's breathing throughout the record!
I always combine shipping. Currently I have about 2000 records to list, so please check out my other items and check back often!

The 6 reasons - why buy from Budapest Sounds?
- I offer a friendly and honest service backed with more than 15 years experience in record grading and selling.
- I sell quality LPs only: about 70% of my records are in near mint or better condition, but the real treat is that 30% of them are in archival (unplayed or played once) condition!
- Strict grading is always done under strong halogen light. When the record has questionable flaws, it is play tested carefully on a Thorens turntable and listened to with headphones.
- Strong protective cardboard packaging is used. Records are removed from the sleeves to protect against seam splits.
- I offer a no quibble money back guarantee on all purchases if item is not as described.
- I have a great vault of records, especially of Hungaroton LPs. If you have been after something for ages but haven't been able to find it, please send me an email!
