Description

Mozart: Le Nozze di Figaro (The Marriage of Figaro). Cast: Cesare Siepi (bass), Hilde Gueden (soprano), Fernando Corena (bass), Hilde Roessel-Majdan (mezzo-soprano), Suzanne Danco (soprano), Alfred Poell (baritone), Murray Dickie (tenor), Lisa Della Casa (soprano) and others. Chorus of the Vienna State Opera and the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Erich Kleiber.

Unique pre-stereo box! Spine mentions stereo SXL 2087-90 but on the cover the picture of the older mono edition. Most probably this was a stereo release that pre-dates the boxes with the stereo box picture!

The vinyl of these four first edition, "original recording" at 10 o'clock, UK stereo LP's is near mint! Original inner sleeves. Beautiful complete 4LP boxset. Booklet (with picture that later appeared on front cover of stereo box edition) included. Essential!!! VERY RARE !!!
