Description

Decca Records stereo two disc boxed set SET 534-5.  Earliest black label discs have "Made in England..." across the top of the label.  Pressed in England.  Stampers are 4W 4W 8W 7W.

Mahler, Symphony #8, the "Symphony of a Thousand", with Georg Solti, the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, the chorus of the Vienna State Opera, the Singverein Chorus, and the Vienna Boys Choir.  Soloists are Heather Harper, Lucia Popp, Arleen Auger, Yvonne Minton, Helen Watts, Rene Kollo, John Shirley-Quirk, and Martti Talvela.  See pics for program details.
