 MINT --  sealed records only

 NEAR MINT --  no signs of use, perfect,

  but with a previous owner

 all  EXCELLENT records will have full gloss

  and have been played only a little,

  but EX does not mean Mint

Ex +    no more than the slightest signs of use,  top copy

Ex     slight signs of use, paper scuffs, spindle marks, marks on lead-in or dead wax, rarely played, isolated pops may occur.      This is not mint.

Ex -   rarely played, looks good,                                                      but with described failings,

 VERY GOOD records have been played more,

  and may have lost some of their shine, and may have many   surface marks and paper scuffs that do little to reduce the sound quality, and  non sounding marks.

 Ex +   No degrading of back or front, no writing,                           no creases or laminate loss, may have retailers stickers                or slight manufacturing faults
